 Reader comments are interesting.
Out in the country and in the middle of nowhere I run ever stop sign unless a car is coming. I don't really ride in town too much and when I do it is not subdivision streets not much traffic. I blow those signs too unless traffic. I did get pulled over and cautioned once years ago when I blew through a 4 way stop in small town but there were no cars coming in either direction.
I don't know about NYC I could not ride a bike there in any situation I believe. I suppose my riding is about like others around here but maybe everyone follows the rules of the road to the letter. In a car yes bike not so much.
