In the meantime, I'm wondering if it could be used as an air
duster.  It has the valve core adaptor for dumping air into a
Presta valve with the core out.  This focuses the air down
somewhat, but a full 120 lb load of air was discharged in
maybe 10-20 seconds.  I'm thinking some kind of fitting with a
smaller bore lumen would extend the dusting time, as well as
increase the dusting pressure.

 What's old is new again!

Those were common among the Pros when I was young I have one
 someplace.

What you want is some type of regulator to drop the pressure.
For your purposes it need not be expensive:

How to arrange the plumbing is another question.

Seems like a lot more than I need.  The ball inflater needle that
came with my floor pump looks about right in terms of the opening
size, but getting it threaded onto the presta fitting of the
Airshot is the trick I need to solve.  The needle has inner
threading that looks about right, but the opening is not long
enough for the threads to engage the fitting.
