I finally discovered where that idiotic rumor came from. Air Force One

So while Trump was in the UAE, they offered to give him a private jet
which was worth $400 million. Of course he turned it down because the
present Air Force One is far more secure in any case.

But the left wingers have been screaming that Trump took a $400
Million bribe, which he didn't. It must be fun to be able to invent
any reality you want.

The current planes (primary Air Force One are pairs, so one can be in
maintenance while the other is flying. Note also any airplane with POTUS
in it uses AF1 as their call sign.) are the only two examples of that
model still flying in USA. At 35 years old, they are at the end of their
useful life and so new planes were ordered in 2018 for 2024 delivery.

The planes are not yet built and the delivery is now extended to perhaps
2027:

What really surprise me about the whole affair is that anyone is
entertaining the idea that the Qatari jet could be reasonably converted
to an AF1. Aside from have a base of a 747, there are few similarities.
The Qatari jet would have to be gutted to the superstructure so that it
could be fitted with different wiring, hydraulics, fuel lines, air frame
reinforcement members, and armor plating. It needs larger fuel tanks
that are reinforced to sustain damage. All the extra weight of the
reinforcement, electronic countermeasure equipment, and larger fuel
tanks require larger engines, not to mention it needs engines with
enough thrust to do very short take offs.

Essentially, its a completely different aircraft. it's actually cheaper
and easier to build an AF1 from the ground up than it would be to start
from a completely assembled 747.

I'm absolutely no fan of trump, but POTUS needs to have a plane that's
been designed with purpose, not retrofitted like some dodge conversion van.

Mr Trump is in Qatar, not UAE. The scheming traitorous Qataris offered
a jet for his use. Many people, I among them, think that's batshit crazy
in general, and in particular for anything from Qatar. The bastards
gave shelter to Kalid Sheikh Mohammad after he bombed the World Trade
Center in 1993, provide residences for Hamas' upper echelon and their
families, fund Hamas and other jihadi murderers including top Al Quaeda
directors. The list is long:

Mr Trump has not turned it down as of this morning.

And he wont. He'll get a free plane for personal use after his
presidency, emollients clause be damned and this spineless DOJ and
congress won't do a fucking thing to stop him. It's already allegedly at
an Airfield in San Antonio:

You might make a habit of reading a couple pf newspapers every morning,
which would easily keep you abreast of national and world issues.

Oh, c'mon Andrew. Tommys imagination is _much_ more entertaining.

Hmmm....like someone who brags about is million dollar investment

Hey Flunky, tell us again that you've done 600 miles this year at an average of 20 mph.

of year) but comports with my last two (successful) commutes:

I wouldn't know personally, but based on how much of a cranky angry old
bitch you are, it must be pretty bad.
Flunky, a "virtual" race is not a race. Stop pretending it is.
The UCI disagrees with you
