Tommy doesn't have any friends. Besides that, this is another case of
tommy talking out his ass. Obviously he referring to Abbott, but Abbot
doesn't make Carbamazepine:

So who knows what tommy was taking. If he though he was taking
Carbamazepine from Abbott, it's obvious they're giving him some kind of
placebo. Tommy strikes me as a particularly whiny patient that a doctor
would give unmarked generic aspirin and tell him it was some exotic new
drug just to shut him up.

Tom, do you know a reagent it?  I don't think so.  It seems that you
didn't bother checking if your bad guess is correct.  Try:

That doesn't sound like anything you might be taking for any of your
numerous maladies. 

There is a drug called Carbamazepine, but it's NOT a reagent, which
means the Abbott link you provided is for the testing agent, not the
drug.

I think what happened is you MIGHT be taking Carbamazepine, but I
doubt it.  If so, it's not from Abbott Labs which only sells the
reagent to detect Carbamazepine.  Trying to cover your ass by claiming
that the drug you're taking is from Abbott is yet another lie.
