Agreed, but those hills in northwest Florida are a long, long way from being snow capped mountains. Florida's highest point is only about 350 feet elevation.
I get occasional visits from a Florida cyclist who exceeds 5000 miles almost every year. His highest, steepest hills are the freeway overpasses. He suffers on moderate hills around here.
I agree that 'interesting' terrain, as I enjoy here, is not at all 'daunting' or 'punishing' or 'grueling' as I find mountains.
