Possible thievery on the bike trail

On my recent ride, I came across this disgusting mess just a few feet
off the trail. There was a lot of discarded clothing, canvas bags, and
several women's purses. I suspect it was where a bunch of thieves went
to sort through their stolen goods and discard what they didn't want.

I have seen more bicyclists and walkers with baggage and backpacks on
that trail recently. I saw a couple of them that very day. My wife
says she's happy that I carry a gun when I ride
