The evidence is not there to support any accusation that a close election was decided by illegal votes.

And the right wing strategies to correct this alleged problem almost invariably hinge on making it more difficult for poor, or minority, or legitimate immigrant people to vote.
 Andrew has said something like he'd rather see a guilty person go free rather than have an innocent person executed, or words to that effect. That is, we should presume innocence unless guilt is proven.
 To extend that logic to voting, we shouldn't use the _myth_ of significant voter fraud to deprive innocent people of their right to vote.
 I don't believe this controversy is a big issue in other developed countries. It's another way the right wing manufactures imaginary problems in America.
