I'm still waiting for your taking my $1000 bet that "The New Yorker" will be out of business within 5 years.
I explained that when you previously attempted to lure me into a bet.
Here's the link, replying to Frank, in case you've forgotten:

Here's a copy of the text, so that you can't claim that your news

your assertions.

So would I, except that I don't gamble. In 5 years, I will be 82
years old and Tom will be 86 years old. Collecting on a bet, when
everyone is that old, will be problematic.
The New Yorker is not an independent business. It's a "brand" owned
by Conde Nast:

Therefore, the bet would need to be whether The New Yorker remains in
business as part of Conde Nast or if Conde Nast sells or licenses The
New Yorker brand to a different conglomerate or equity capital group.

After all, you believe that a circulation of just over a million is "hardly obscure" despite half of those subscriptions either already or expected to become nothing more than Internet publications.
I'm not worried because I'll have plenty of company as your fearless
leader sinks the ship that's keeping us all afloat.
