I'd think the circumstances for ever using this toy are also almost non-existent.
And keep in mind, to use it effectively in your imaginary home invasion scenario, you'd have to have it almost immediately at hand, and you'd have to suddenly awaken and be immediately alert and coordinated enough to grab it, aim and fire. I think that would be very, very unlikely.
