but the crazy setup did work. In fact this is the third time I have made a mold using this setup with cross pins.
I actually have an R8-ER16, but the collet nut didn't give me enough clearance to do the job.
My current silly setup is a 1/2" piece of steel plate bolted to a faceplate . It will be a fixture to hold a connecting rod so I can use the lathe and my dremel fixture to open up the wrist pin hole . This is part of the Arctic Cat 600 to 660 performance upgrade . That boy is gonna kill himself ...
