My dad gave me a decent size hip roof toolbox many years ago. It had 6
trays. Three on each side. I've never seen one like it since. I can't
remember the name, but it was quite heavy duty. Heavier than most
toolboxes available today. For atleast a few years it contained most of
the tools I owned, until one day it was stolen out of my truck. My
fault I know. Never leave anything in your open truck bed you want to
keep unless its guarded by rabid attack dogs.

I see a lot of 4 tray hip roof boxes like this one, but I have not seen
any 6 tray ones like the one I had.

This one is plastic
Yeah, I probably have one or two or three plastic tackle boxes with 3 layers of cantilever trays. I also found a metal flat top (7 trays they call it) cantilever toolbox with 3 layers, but none in the USA.
