news:v7u38q$2crek$1@dont-email.me... My Lenovo laptop died recently , so I purchased and installed a new motherboard . The problem is this new board is lacking a uuid number , and has no entry for computer type and serial number . Pops up a "2200 - type and serial number invalid" and a "2201 - uuid invalid" error messages . Both fields are blank .
Turns out I'll have to jump a through few hoops to correct these problems - the only way is via a 3.5" floppy disc ! It ran fine for an hour or two , then started blue screening . I'm wondering if the blue screen is because of the missing entries ...
There's a new usb floppy drive and some discs for it on the way ...
