I'm actually not 100% sure about this particular insert.  It might be a unicorn.  I think it came on a tool.  I'll let you know how the alloy/stainless inserts I bought work out when I finally destroy this one and have to swap it out.
I think the big deal is that the small insert has to have smaller geometry so it works better when making smaller cuts.
