Today I spent the latter, flea market season has begun again. Specialized technical stuff sometimes appears on tables of vendors who have no idea what it is and let it go cheap. This was $5 IIRC.
https://www.amazon.com/Honeywell-Inc-DP3030A5004-Pole-Contactor/dp/B00QW2ECP4It was used of course, and missing the cable clamp setscrews which I picked up at a hardware store on the way home. A contactor is a relay rated for over 10A, typically used to control a large electric motor without running the heavy current through a multipole on/off switch. They permit "three wire control" which leaves the motor off for safety after a power interruption, until you intentionally start it again. "24V" is the coil voltage, a common standard. The blue button closes the contacts manually with power off for troubleshooting.
Newer models may clip onto DIN rail instead of mounting with screws.
