news:102plag$1p189$1@dont-email.me...That is a light duty variation of what I am doing. I'm using a pair of
12000lb drop foot jacks that have input shafts on both sides. My plan
is to link them with a sprocket on the linkage.
--------------------------------------
I bought a motorcycle transmission output sprocket to drive the Kawasaki rear wheel on my sawmill, and didn't notice that it had 13 internal splines which made indexing the shaft cuts difficult. A 52 tooth change gear from the AA lathe solved the problem.
The sawmill head lift uses two bicycle sprockets connected with plated chain. Their Sturmey Archer style rounded drive lugs were also somewhat difficult to adapt to threaded shaft hubs, from measurement difficulties.
