It might but this is a waste of it. Expensive welding and brazing rods are among my most valuable flea market treasure finds.
Maybe you could use some cunifer brake tube a filler material, normally
available in small quantities and not too expensive IME.

Thanks, that is a good idea and I have some left over from replacing the lines on the 1991 truck. It could be slit and flattened into strips to cover holes.
