We went to a Mexican restaurant tonight. Da kids ordered guacamole -
they always do that. I don't know why. It always tastes bland and
boring. How hard can it be to mix up some exciting guacamole? My plate
wasn't that great either. It made me sleepy while I was eating it.

It looks good, but unless I skipped a meal, I think I'd only finish half
of it.

I never cared for it, but we made homemade guacamole the other day. I
liked it, but only because I loaded it up with cilantro. Unfortunately,
I seem to also have mild allergy to avocados. Just like bananas, they
make my throat and mouth itch. Bummer.
These days, I'll share a plate with my wife. I can only eat half a
plate, unless it's Mexican. I can only eat a third of a plate of
Mexican. The guacamole that's served here features the avocado as the
main flavor component. That's silly since avocado doesn't taste like
much. My guacamole would be garlicky, spicy, salty, with a heavy hit of
umami. It would have a little sugar in it, of course. It would not be a
boring gringo guack.
