How did the first Shingrix go?  I've been thinking about it.

Compared to having shingles, the reaction, if any, would be worth it.
I had to chuckle about an anti vaxxer I know who was telling me about the dangers of vaccinations, and that was before Covid. I was talking about looking into getting the Shingrix even though I had already had the older shingles vaccine. I said that  I really did not want to get shingles and told him what my mother and friends had been through with it.  He was well aware how bad the disease is. He and his wife had both had it.  Pity. He might not have if he had had the shot.
I had the earlier shot but developed a mild case a few years later. It
appeared as a rash on my waistline on Monday and I should have gone to
the Dr by Wednesday at the latest. However, I went on Friday and was
prescribed anti-virals although the Dr thought it too late. I suffered
sharp pains for about 24 hours but the pills stopped it.
Still, that 24 hours was enough!
I subsequently got the new jab.
