 Oh, I don't know if anybody demanded it.  But the latest live-action
version featured color-blind casting, ending up with a somewhat dusky
Snow White of Colombian descent.
 

Considering 'Snow White' was written by The Brothers Grimm published in
1812 in Germany, one would not expect anything other than white people
to be featured, not even in the 1960's Disney cartoon film.  No one
cares if it's "woke".  It's a classic fairy tale.

 People expected a white Snow White, and howled like monkeys about
the casting.  The actor didn't help herself any by criticizing
Donald Trump.  And the movie gained some bad press by casting Gal
Godot as the wicket queen.  Godot is an Israeli who served in the
IDF and is a vocal supporter of Israel.
 

Denzel Washington has starred in Macbeth so perhaps we shouldn't
criticise Laurence Olivier playing Othello in blackface,
