The voice-over is strange but it's new technology. Perhaps it's
translating on-the-fly and not reading from a script.
Artificial speech is actually very good these days. I had Google set up
a reservation at a restaurant for me. It's likely that the person
answering the phone at the restaurant never knew he was talking to a
computer.
OTOH, when I talk to someone on the phone or real life, I'll adjust my
speech/wording/pronunciation to compliment theirs. It's the art of
communication.
