I had some furikake ahi at Heeia pier. It was so-so. My granddaughter is
taking up canoe paddling. It's a big sport in Hawaii. You can tell girls
that take up the sport. They'll be wide of shoulders and dark from the
sun. The canoes taking off look like space ships. The skinny crafts move
almost friction-less on the ocean. Mostly, they're affected by thrust
and inertia.

It does connect the kids with their legacy/past/traditions. I asked my
granddaughter if her arms were aching. She said not at all. That's
amazing, they paddled quite a distance.
