It was. Steve Jobs told Obama that those jobs aren't coming back. You
could build a chip factory in a couple of months in China. It would take
years, clearing governmental rules and regs, to start breaking ground in
the United States.
We shipped manufacturing to other countries. We don't need tool and die
makers, or we think we don't.
We've been losing WWIII to China for twenty-five years, and we're too
dumb to know that we're in it.
