The weird thing about pigs is that a domestic pig can turn into a
feral pig after a short time in the wild. It's a physical change
on a genetic level. How strange is that?

about as credible as a stray spaniel turning into a
wolf,  and those feral chickens outside your condo turning
into vultures.

I'd love to know where he comes up with these ideas (other than
random Youtube videos).

He seems unaware if a domestic pig gets loose, it breeds with wild ones
so of course it waters down the domestic genomes over time.  It's not
