Here's a Sixties dish. Canned spinach, vinegar, oil, salt and pepper.
I ate quite a bit of it then. None since.
Is canned spinach still available? I suppose I could look it up, but no.
Of course canned spinach is still available. I'm not sure who buys it but someone must. I remember my mom telling me when my oldest brother was a little boy he insisted she buy some canned spinach. He bought into the whole cartoon image of canned spinach making you strong. She tried to warn him but he insisted. Naturally, he hated it.
