my son has a new Subaru Outback. it has lane assist, camera is
mounted on the front window above the rear view mirror. it
weaves back and forth in a lane keeping the car between the
lines and it's not smart enough to not follow exit ramp

disconcerting. as did he. he leaves it off. now when i see cars
weaving in lanes, i can't tell if it's from distracted driving
or poor technology which shouldn't be on vehicles in the first
place. i don't think it should be on vehicles because dumbasses
are always going to dumbass, and become dependent on it.
Should not be weaving back and forth. Never had that with either my Genesis or Hyundai. In addition to the LKA, my car has a drive assist that works on highways. For a short hop 10 miles up the road, not a big deal, but on the occasional long trip I can drive an additional 200 miles and not be tired.
