version featured color-blind casting, ending up with a somewhat dusky
Snow White of Colombian descent.

Alexander Hamilton was played on Broadway by Lin-Manual Miranda to huge success.  He wasn't exactly the lily white British guy who took part in the American Revolution in the 1770's.  Did anyone care about him playing the part?  I certainly didn't give a moments thought to the color of his skin.  By all accounts the play was a huge hit.
