I am sure that loaf of home made raisin bread would be great but it would be wasted effort here. I like raisin bread only very occasionally. There are a couple Dutch operated produce stores nearby and they almost always have good raisin bread for sale.
I always like it but most commercial is rather mediocre. There was one that is fantastic, but no longer available. Oregon Trail. Loaded with raisins, it is a hefty loaf. No idea whey it is no longer produced and I've checked a few sources.
