I thought the Cooking group was for recipes whether they are

It is. Ila seems to be importing the newsgroup rec.food.cooking
(RFC for short).

I don't know who the other person is as my newsreader filtered

Same jlaforum as MummyChunks. They steal Usenet content and
repost it.

The way I see it, it's usenet. We don't control it. If the other
one is MummyChunk then yes, in my bozo bin. Not over ILA, over her
nonsensical recipes that are terrible.

jla forums is not Usenet.

Jill, I didn't say ILA was usenet. WE are in USENET. ILA is just
harmlessly providing an ancillary view into it. Just like GG did.
GG has nothing to do with it. It was a gateway after most ISP's dropped Usenet unless someone found a different newsserver. Google Groups didn't have people actively coming to RFC asking people to post pictures and recipes so they can post them to a totally different site. Dave posted that he made some chili. MummyChunks wanted a picture of it to post to the jla forum. Totally different thing.
Jill
And just who actively comes to RFC "asking people to post pictures and recipes so they can post them to a totally different site"?
You do realize though that RFC is not a site right? It is a USENET group. So how could anyone post anything to a "different site" than RFC when RFC is not a site?
Google groups provided access to RFC just the same as Nova, Rocksolid JLA and any of the other web based gateways to USENET. You access RFC I assume through some antiquated news reader. Others access it through a web gateway, an app on their phone, etc.
Someone doesn't need to come to RFC to ask for pictures and recipes to post them right back to RFC.
