the first governor of the State of Nevada.
He changed the spelling of his last name, so the hicks out west would be
able to pronounce and spell it.
"Blaisdell" is a name fondly remembered in Hawaii. There's a concert
hall/arena named after him. Perhaps he's kinfolk of yours.
