Chromebooks stays a marginal
product, the prices will remain low.
The more of them they sell and make, the cheaper they'll probably get.
You guess. When the Chromebooks came out they were less than $200. It
was an offer I couldn't refuse. These days you can get one for around
$200 to $300. I suppose you could say the price has stayed the same
since they first came out in 2011. I could get a cheap Windows computer
for under $300 but the performance is going to be horrible.
While I'm not into Chromebooks, you have a good point there. I'd bet
that cheap ones perform just as well as small fast tablet computers.
Cheap Windows computers are flat out AWFUL.

My latest laptop is a circa 2014 enterprise level Dell Latitude. It
still has better hardware than new $250 Walmart laptops, and I paid less
than $80 for it on eBay. I think it was a government surplus machine.
