Hehehe! I wasn't the only one to tell him cast iron was his answer.
Specifically the heat retention will come into play and cook both
sides at the same time while pressing it down.

have an 11 inch, a 9 inch and a 7 inch plus 2 cast iron dutch ovens
(fireplace or stove top or oven, all of them.)
