As I have been saying, cast iron is a great choice when you're cooking
with fire, coals, or wood. My pans would be practically useless
without gas or electricity. That said, Dutch ovens are heated with
fire or coals when they're cooking. You can talk about heat retention
but a cast iron pan does not retain enough heat to cook anything.
Maybe a single pancake. Hahahahahahahaha haha!
You try again to change the subject David. We aren't taslking over a
fire or coals and you know it.
A dutch oven is used inside the oven.
https://postimg.cc/cgDzwqJfhttps://postimg.cc/qhQsqhfPThose are the results of a dutch oven, cast iron (with lid) inside the
oven to bake.
They do infact retain heat for cooking and it's very even as several
here have told you.
