Would it be possible to change the law that says thatIt requires an amendment to the constitution. But then
the president has to be born in the US?
Is it impossible, or a court decision away,
or would it be a decade long process?
others would try to squeeze in amendments about firearms
and the electoral college &c at the same time and it
would get mired in partisan politics.
Over 10,000 proposals for amendments have been rejected,
and the last amendment (#27) was ratified 32 years ago and
took 203 years to go from a proposal to ratification.
So I would not bet any money an any changes real soon.
