Cast Iron in the USA usually is sold in sets of 3
Usually? B.S.
I guess I am not the only one wondering about that. I am in Canada not the US, not that it really matters much. It is the same basic market. I googles cast iron frying pans and did come across one ad for a three pan set of cast iron frying pans, so I can't say it never happens. When I specified places like Canadian Tire and the Bay there were no sets of cast iron. They were all sold individually. Nonstick pans were a different matter. There were several sets of those offered.
New cast iron is basically Lodge, without many other options. I always see Lodge cast iron sold individually. New pieces are more rough and heavy than the good old brands, for whatever reason. I'd be surprised if Lodge is even made in North America anymore.
