No cooking here. My son and DiL took us out for dinner for my
birthday. We went to an Austrian place near their house. It is run by
a retired winemaker. I had been looking forward to their schnitzel but
then I was leaning toward lox and latkes and when the pressure was on
to order I switched to goulash. It was a good choice. It was
fantastic and a very generous portion. They are famous for their
strudel. Since my son is now celiac he had gone to a gluten free
bakery where he got an almond cake and we got some strudel to go and
had it at their place.

Sounds like a good restaurant. I'd go for the schnitzel.
Thanks. It is a great little restaurant but hard to get into. It has
very limited seating but if you call them they a half hour before they
will try to hold a table. I have only been there three times now and it
is always packed. They offer gluten free if you let them know 24 hours
in advance, so that was out in. My son called and arranged the GF dinner
with the expectation that it was a reservation. Plus, his neighbour
works there. At any rate we only had to wait a few minutes for the table.

I have had the schnitzel and it is amazing. Our son and his wife were
in Vienna just a few weeks ago and had schnitzel in several place they
thought this place was better than they had there.
