I'll be having some steamed asparagus to go with it. Okay, for those
who have trouble with my using the term "steamed", it's frozen
asparagus and will be cooked in a covered dish in the microwave with
a splash of water. So technically yes, it will "steam". Get over it.
Sure, works for me.
Anyone have anything cooking tonight? What's for dinner?
Chicken soup. It's not terribly photogenic but I tried:
https://postimg.cc/CB7LS2Db4 boneless skinned chicken thighs, cut bite sized
1 can black beans
1 can corn (only had white on hand)
1 small leek, whites and lower half of greens
Baby carrots, halved, 1.5 cups?
2 sticks celery
6 cups chicken broth
3 TB butter
2 ts Peruvian Chile Lime
1-2 tsp black pepper
I was starting to make Mullagitawny but found out I'd used the last of
the Nutmeg so varied a bit dropping put the onion but using garlic salt.
Bread still warm from the oven cut 'Texas style'.
It was so thick, you might call it a stew? I forgot the flour but can
add it later to thicken what is left.
