 Agreed.  Even where I live on the coast, much of the raw fish presented on a bed of ice at Publix and other grocery stores is marked previously frozen.  That includes Atlantic cod and salmon.  They never claim it's "fresh".  Fresh Atlantic salmon in St. Louis?  Doubtful.  He did get good prices, though. :)  For cod, I do prefer the loin. "Cod Portions" could be just about any piece of the fish cut into chunks.

I'm sure ALDI outright lied about it never having been frozen.  Of course, everything other than the salmon for today went straight into the freezer.  When ALDI opens up their new Beaufort store, you could go in there and buy some of that fish, then sue them for lying about it having never been frozen.
