For me it was gin. I was about 15 and never touched the stuff for 10
years. Years later it was Southern Comfort that was going down too
easily on a hot summer day. That was close to 40 years ago and I still
won't touch it.
Southern Comfort and orange juice. i rarely drink any
alcohol these days. water, milk, hot chocolate, fake coffee,
and a few other things are what i drink these days.
i do like sweet drinks but a little sherry goes a long
ways (i can't drink enough of it to get smashed) and i
haven't had any for 20 years or more. kahlua and baily's
we used to have around because Mom made homemade versions
of them and then got away from doing that regularly. i'm
pretty much not into alcohol and hate that our culture
pushes it so heavily that you can't have a gathering
without people thinking it must be there too.
people complain about inflation and the price of food
but if you look into what they actually eat they are often
spending a lot of money for things that have little
nutrition and a good chunk of change for drinks that are
very expensive.
