Why use masking tape? Just write the contents on that
portion to be cut off. But yes, I make my bags super
long to be able to use them again and again. They're
draped over a long barbecue tool that is propped up
in the dish drainer to hold them open while they're
drying.
It may be my bags or markers but they tend to wipe the writing off,
so masking tape. I have a lot of masking tape left over from some
painting jobs.
It took me years to get my wife to stop writing with permanent
markers on Rubbermaid containers. I don't always use the same stuff.
There are things we binge on for a while and then stop using. Better
to use tape or labels that can be removed. If the tap or label falls
off the stuff has probably been there too long.
Same thoughts here. Anyways, works on bags and rubbermaid etc. It's
just simple.
When we moved back stateside, the house was a wreak. Estimated 80.000$
worth damage by insurance comany, but Don and I were healthy then and
handy so did most of it ourselves. That's where the excess masking
tape comes from. I guess we are sort of 'waste not, want not' people.
We find simple reusable things all the time.
Right now my handy task is trying to get seedlings properly established
and that means better seedling pots than I tried last year (too small).
These are all food crops. I want my Cubanelles and Chocolate Bell
Peppers dagnabbit! ;-)
I'm going to try the containers I get with my instant coffee (Hill's
Bro's and International or maybe it was Constant Comment?) as one set
is definately big enough for Bell Pepper sraters and the other will be
fine for herb seedlings. Looking at peanut butter jars as well. Some
of the yogurt (6oz) or sourcream (8oz) ones would do well. Ah well,
that's my planned veggies for the table next year!
