Well, we started out talking about the mayonnaise substitute called
Miracle Whip, which seems to resemble the British condiment called
Salad Cream (at least as far as its ingredients go).
slightly
Miracle whip ingredients (US version)
water, soybean oil, high-fructose corn syrup, vinegar,
modified corn starch, eggs, salt, natural flavor, mustard
flour, potassium sorbate, spice, and dried garlic.
Salad Cream (British)
Ingredients. Water,; Spirit Vinegar,; Rapeseed Oil (22%),;
Sugar,; Mustard Powder,; Modified Cornflour,; Pasteurised
Egg Yolks (3%),; Salt,; Colour - Riboflavin
I've not had Heinz Salad Cream for over 60 years, and
that's still not long enough.
