I've never been a fan of wooden spoons/utensils for
cooking. I just can't get into corners of bowls or
pots when using them. Lots of people wouldn't use
anything else, but give me metal or silicone utensils,
please.

I like stainless metal utensils, but no plastic or anything non-stick
for me! I have plenty of different size wooden spoons, including ones
with a corner that rounds out to scrape the corners. My favorite is a
small spatula-shaped one that scrapes the bottom perfectly in a bowl or
skillet. Silicone is nice, but I'm too afraid of it melting in hot cast
iron.

The silicone spatula I have is rated to be safe at
475-500°F. But I don't leave any cooking spoons or
spatulas in the pan when I'm cooking.
