It's been a week since I adopted her and Cleo has settled in
beautifully! She's still a tad skittish and needs her own
space, which is fine with me. But she's turning into a love
bug. She loves to get scritches and she sleeps on a pillow
behind my head. She now joins me on the couch when I am
watching TV or reading a book. She "kneads" me and purrs.
So sweet!
She loves playing with the fishing-wand toy and I use that to
work out her excess kitten energy. I have a carpeted cat
tree with a barrel and if I dangle the little mouse from the
wand in front of it she leaps through the barrel back and
forth like a little circus cat. :)
She gets the "zoomies" and runs from one end of the house to
the other. She loves looking out the windows at the birds
(and NO, Graham, she will never be allowed outside so she
won't be killing them).
She's eating well, loves her kitten food, wet & dry, and no
problems using the litter box.
She also doesn't seem to have a problem being left alone when
I'm at work during the week. I come home and find toys in
the living room have been moved around. But she sleeps a
lot, as cats do.
I'd share a picture of her but I can't figure out how to get
this damn Win11 computer photo import feature to let me save
pics from the SD card to someplace where I can actually find
them. Technical learning curve.
All this just to say, Cleo is a happy and fun kitten! I'm so
glad I adopted her. :)

PowderDVD seems to have a feature for that. Me, I just plugged
my SD into the computer slot and copied it from that drive to my
pictures directory. Looks like they didn't install the right
drivers?
Sorry, what is PowderDVD? At any rate, I have figured out how to
use the photo import feature and save the images from my camera's
SD card where I want them (it's painful). But now I cannot
upload the images to postimages.org. The site is blocked saying
my connection is not secure. Damn I hate new computers.

Apologies, powerDVD. You may not want it but if having problems
watching a DVD (and seems to have picture stuff too), it's good.
Apparently not free forever but I'm just testing that.
This laptop doesn't have a CD/DVD drive.
