   yep, we use that too.  it's about the only laundry
detergent we can tolerate.

   potatoes have some toxins in them.  i can't eat
raw potatoes, it would be a bad day...

   a little bleach in some water will deodorise plastics
which often have smells clinging to them.  i prefer to
cook, eat and store foods in/on glass or enamelled things
which don't have that problem.  once you wash them well
enough with dish soap (we dilute that too) they don't
have any smell clinging to them.

  i would like to, but Mom has issues with getting things
open so some plastic containers work better for her.  just
trying to get her to not use them for reheating things is
a challenge.  if she wants mixed vegetables from the freezer
she'll heat them up right in the plastic bag which makes me
shudder.  lol  i hate the smells that cling to plastic and
also cardboard, i've found that most of the freezer smell
that really gets me to gag is from the cardboard packaging.
