Well phooey, it looks like I'll be ringing in the new
year with my second jab. I'll head back on Monday,
January 30 for the last injection. Hopefully, the
side effects will only last a day and a half like
the first time.
I dreaded going back for my second Shingrix because the first one
had hurt so much. I can't say that I suffered any illness after the
shot, just the pain. I have had varying degrees of tenderness after
shots in the past, but nothing as painful as that or as long
lasting. There was some pain up to a week or two before the second
shot. I was not looking forward to it but the fear of contracting
shingles outweighed my concerns about the pain. As it turned out,
the shot was painless. I felt nothing when I was injected and there
was no pain afterwards. That was about 4 years ago. I have not
contracted shingles so I will consider it to have been the right
move.
chills and tired as if I'd been plowing with a mule all day.
Plus shuffling through the house like I couldn't pick up my
feet and sleeping 15 hours. Ten of those hours were in the
bed then I decided I'd had enough of that and went to the
couch to sleep another 5 hours.
