AT&T wants U-Verse to go away. If you're not a current customer, you
can't buy it. I was lucky to get another DVR. The tech said it was
probably refurbished. He was certainly right.

Our TV is connected via Ethernet to our cable modem.  One remote
for the TV and soundbar (both are Samsung); another remote for
the DVD player, which we rarely use.

Is your wife ineducable?
