 We don't have the need for them.  Can you imagine the cost of a phone if it was made in USA with our labor rates?  Sales would nosedive and Tim Cook would be working a part time job.

Is the solution to continue to buy products made by overworked underpaid Asian children?  Compare the cost of manufacturing parts/labor in an iPhone to what Apple sells it for...  They are marked up over 10 times!
The worst part is that people send these electronics with rare earth metals in them straight to the dump instead of recycling.  As a society, we were a lot better off buying that USA made TV that cost a week's pay.   People actually took care of and appreciated the stuff that you had to pay good money for.  Now, it's a disposable world.
