That control tower should have a staff of 30 air traffic controllers.
They have 19.  It is a very intense and demanding job and to give
coverage, they sometimes work 60 hours a week.

That depends on the airport, maybe.  I always heard that air traffic
controller is the most demanding/stressful job, but I've been cleaning
the Pittsburgh air traffic control tower for going on 6 years now.
Sometimes, I can tell it's high-stress, but the guys take it well.  Most
of the time, they are talking or joking around.  Pittsburgh
international used to staff a lot more, but late evening, some days
there's only one or two traffic controllers in the tower, and a couple
down in the radar room.

Trump though, sent them all an email telling them they can resign.
Maybe they all should and see what happens.

Some of the air traffic controllers still have hard feelings at Reagan
for canning all of the striking air traffic controllers.

The controllers at the airport where I work all got a text message the
other day with a new federal employee "code of conduct".  It said to
text back "RESIGN" if you don't agree, and you're fired, effective Feb.
6th.  They'll receive 8 months of severance pay, apparently.

I'm good with that.  I haven't been on a plane sincd 1997 and I have
no intention ever to do so again.
2016 for me, I've flown twice, and I'm content to never fly again.
It's an interesting quandary for the controllers. Where is the money to
pay these guys for 9 months coming from? I suppose Musk can pay for it.
Just don't use any of my money. My guess is that Trump will just default
on any payment. Stiffing workers is his specialty.
