I'm setting up the computer at work. What a primitive, decrepit,
machine. I had to start with a clean machine so all programs had to be
removed that was not originally on there. The good news is that you can
do that easily with Windows. The bad news is that there's no telling how
long that's going to take. The Lenova had no status lights because
there's no hard drive. There's no light to indicate that the machine is
even on. It's just a cold, silent, inscrutable, box. Perhaps it's
sending the contents of the SS drive to China. In the end, I just left
the machine on and left the office. Reports are that the machine booted
up. Now I got to go back to the office and dig up programs to load. I
suppose I should be happy.
