There are two of these in STL, https://ophmo.com/
The cornmeal buttermilk pancakes here are great.

Sure, IHOP and Waffle House suck. At IHOP, they have a $6 special, with
2 eggs, two slices ofbacon and a short stack(2). At Southwest Diner,
that would cost $14.50. At Original Pancake House, 2 eggs with 3 slices
of bacon and 3 pancakes is $16.25. Walker Bros. has 2 eggs, 4 slices of
bacon and 3 pancakes for $14.50. Both Walker Bros. and Southwest Diner
are known to have long lines to get in on weekends, often over an hour.
Back in the late Sixties, the Cal Neva in Reno had a forty-nine cent
breakfast special. You got two eggs, I had mine over easy, a choice of
ham, bacon or sausage, hash browns, and toast with jelly packs.
I haven't seen prices like that since. I think they wanted you to
gamble after breakfast.
As far as I remember, it was a good slice of ham or three slices of
bacon or three sausages.
