 My comment was actually more about the frozen fish sticks than it was the homemade tartar sauce.  I haven't found any frozen fish sticks worth spending money on in years.  Homemade tartar sauce is kind of like putting lipstick on a pig. ;)

Last time I had fish sticks was when my mother made Mrs. Paul's about 1960.  Never bought or made tarter sauce.  I never felt deprived though.
